It is so easy to get stuck in office complain chain. Sometimes you spread the complaining around and other times people draw you into their complaints. Here are 5 things you need to stop complaining about.
Your salary
Because you never know what the salary is of the person you are complaining to. Instead of complaining start documenting your accomplishments and it’s even better to relate those things to revenue to the company.
How fair your boss is
Fair is subjective and usually people confuse unfair with not getting their way. Bosses are usually hardest on those they see have the greatest potential. If that is the case with you, who is the boss really being unfair to?
That you aren’t appreciated
We could all be told that we are appreciated more and at the same time we could all tell others that we appreciate them more. Before complaining that you aren’t appreciated, start walking around appreciating others. I’m willing to bet you will start hearing it more yourself.
People don’t rise up to your expectations
Two things go very wrong when it comes to expectations. 1) They often aren’t communicated and 2) people will rarely live up to them. Instead of complaining make sure you have communicated them and that they are reasonably attainable by those you are hold to them.
About change
People hate change even though change is constant. Don’t become an anchor to the past or you will be left behind only to have to complain that you no longer have a job.
This is my top 5 list of things people should stop complaining about. Do you agree or disagree and what would you add to the list? Use the comments below.
